  • Highest ranked Californian (27th) on the 1978 IPS World Surfing Tour Rankings

1979 - 1987

  • Became the first Californian to win an IPS World Tour event (Brazil) 1980

  • Made the Finals in the 1980 Pipeline Masters

  • Ranked in the IPS/ASP  World Tour Top 16 (1980-1985) 

  • Won 10 Pro titles during Pro career (1980-1985)

  • Highest ranked Californian on the IPS/ASP World Tour 1980-1985

  • Recognized as the “Most Improved” surfer on the 1984 ASP World Surfing Tour 

  • Won the Pipeline Masters 1984

  • Founded and Directed PSAA US Pro Surfing Tour 1985-86

  • Completely retired from Pro Surfing and Surf Industry career 1987  

1998 - 2009

  • Won the 1998 ASP World Masters Surfing Championship 

  • Competed in the Pipeline Masters Trials (1998-2000)

  • 1999 Champion NSSA Southwest Conference Masters Division

  • Inducted into Surfing Hall of Fame 2009
